YOUR TASKS

  • Be part of the German Development team and support as the technical expert for BESS projects
  • Evaluate BESS stand-alone and co-located (PV and BESS) projects on all voltage levels from a technical point of view
  • Support throughout the whole permitting procedure and grid connection process by liaising with technical and commercial teams both internally and externally (i.e. with TSOs, DSOs, Local Authorities, other external stakeholders, etc.)
  • Obtaining connection offers for projects, and designing best practice layouts to meet specific project challenges (i.e. limited space, fulfillment of noise restrictions, fire protection concepts, etc.)
  • Provide technical due diligence information and reporting for investors
  • Support internal procurement-, engineering-, and contracts-teams

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in battery technologies, power electronics, energy management systems, and grid integration strategies 
  • Proficiency in modelling and simulation software tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, and Energy Storage System (ESS) software platforms
  • Proven experience in the design, implementation, and optimization of Battery Energy Storage Systems, preferably in a renewable energy or utility-scale context
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to liaise with technical and commercial teams both internally and externally (i.e with TSOs, EPC partners, Local Authorities, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Structural way of working.
