YOUR TASKS

  • Oversee projects in various locations, perform comprehensive budget tracking, forecasting, and management of assigned solar projects, assuring compliance with time and budget requirements, providing positive, clear, concise, and transparent reporting to the Construction Manager
  • Acquire responsibility of authorized projects, and manage them through all the phases, from building permission to the RTB status, to construction, to connection to the national electrical grid and, to the entry into operation
  • Undertake site surveys to verify local conditions which impact design and construction, and establish project specific requirements
  • Manage rapports with public authorities, TSO/DSO national electrical grid operators, consultants, in all the phases of the project
  • Support the Construction Manager to prepare a detailed project budget, and a project construction time schedule, which needs to be closely monitored throughout the life of the project
  • Ensure compliance of the project with the authorization requirements, national electrical grid connection procedures, applicable laws and norms, the Company's technical requirements, and international technical standards
  • Manage project required construction permits as a prerequisite for project inception, interfacing with public authorities and electrical grid operators
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with EPC contractors and/or subcontractors, providers, external consultants etc., ensuring full compliance with all contractual obligations
  • Oversee engineering review process for detailed design carried out by contractors
  • Manage the Site managers during construction phase


Job requirements

YOUR COMPETENCES

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in Engineering, electrical Engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Proficiency level of English and German, Italian language is a plus
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position in the solar industry, proven record of positive and increasing levels of responsibility, job complexity and management performance
  • Knowledge of Construction multidisciplinary activities: electrical, mechanical, civil, HSEQ, Environmental
  • Experience with battery storage systems (BESS) and power systems is an advantage. 
  • EU driving licence
  • Knowledge of the national and international technical standards relating to the construction sector, and for photovoltaic systems
  • Knowledge of local market costs for construction related activities, and construction budgeting skills
  • Knowledge of the connection procedures to the national HV/MV grid with national TSO / DSO grid operators is a plus
  • Knowledge of the authorization process for photovoltaic systems, and local procedures for obtaining construction permits is a plus
  • Experience negotiating and managing solar EPC construction contracts
  • Analytical approach and abstraction and synthesis skills
  • Team leading and management skills and ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Align individual and team objectives to company objectives
